Our Doctors

Derrick K. Burno MD

Dr.Burno received his undergraduate degree in biology from Harvard University and his MD from Temple University School of Medicine, graduating in 1992. After beginning his surgical training at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, he completed his urology training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of NJ at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ, in 1999. Dr. Burno is a member of the AUA, AACU, MSNJ and is board-certified by the American Board of Urology. His areas of special interest include all aspects of urologic stone disease and urologic oncology. Of highest importance to Dr. Burno in life are faith and family. “My family and my faith help me to remember that with urology, and medicine in general, it’s about people helping people. I never want to forget this.” Dr. Burno was selected as a 2010 Nurses’ Choice Top Doctor by New Jersey Monthly Magazine.
